Not sure what questions to ask or what price figures to go off of, but Nikki did my two cousin's wedding cakes - and they were great. Any advice?

Not sure if I'd want to eat a cake off a stump! But it is a neat idea.
Having never bought a cake before I can't offer you any advice but those two look great! I said right from the beginning that I didn't want fondant--butter cream all the way. Although we are having a friend bake our cake so i guess I can't be too picky. and then I found out this morning that she's pregnant and will be due the same month as our wedding. Hmmmm....there may have to be a plan B in the works.
Nina - My cousin is pregnant too and due two days before our wedding! Her daughter is our flower girl, and that makes me nervous.
Would love to pay someone to make a homemade wedding cake, but unfortunately I do not know of anyone.
